With over 39 years of experience in various services including strategy, M&A, Insolvency and audit and assurance. Atul has served as a lead engagement partner on numerous assignments. His expertise spans advising on acquisition strategies, conducting due diligence reviews and business valuations, managing restructuring efforts, and overseeing public and private share issues and placements. Notably, Atul has played pivotal roles as lead transaction or financial advisor in high-profile assignments, IPOs and restructuring and privatization assignments in Kenya and the region.

Atul’s experience extends beyond borders, encompassing major assignments in the oil sector in Zambia and Eastern Africa the telecoms sector in Ethiopia, Gambia, and Kenya. He has also been involved in bank restructuring and privatizations in various countries in Kenya, Ghana, Ethiopia, and Zambia. He had extensive involvement in government ministries and state audits for the Government of South Sudan and formulated strategies for various ministries and state corporations in Africa. Atul has conducted project audits for initiatives funded by various donors in Africa.

Atul holds an MBA from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland, and is a Chartered Accountant with ACCA and ICAEW. He holds the qualifications of FCPA(K), FCCA, and ACA. Atul’s professional responsibilities previously include Chairman of the PKF Africa Board, Member of the PKF International Global Council, and Director of the PKF International Africa Board. He has also served as the CEO of PKF East African firms from 2011-2018. Atul is a Partner with PKF Kenya and KLSA LLP, London. He is also a principal and founder of ABR Capital Partners which has private equity investments in London. Atul has held various trustee and senior positions in various charitable organizations and schools in Kenya. Atul enjoys reading and playing golf.
